Going to traditional markets brought me a lot of good and fun childhood memories. From the fresh vegetables, fish, meat, and clothes etc. I had that colorful chick when I was young as well. For the seller spraying them with colors, I know it may sound abusive for the animal, but yes, you are right, it's for them to catch potential buyers, and most of the time it works.
