Kesesi Traditional Market I Loved
I think walking to the traditional market is a way of curing childhood nostalgia. A little story, when I was a child my mother was a clothes seller and often shopped at the traditional market in our area. Naumn, after adolescence until now. The moment to go to the traditional market can only be done when I'm on holiday in the village because on weekdays, I'm a nomad in a big city.
So, that morning while still in the nuances of the Eid holiday, my sister and I went to the traditional market. It's called Kesesi market because that's the sub-district where I live. Actually, there was nothing special or specialised in our market. The types of ian, vegetables, or fruits were the same as other markets.
I bought several types such as: mutton, chicken, fish, shrimp, vegetables, and others. As well as crystal guavas. My daughter really likes this guava because it has few seeds, and the fruit is thicker and more tender. And this guava variant is also more juicy.
We bought one kilo.
After that, we went around and you know what we found? Colourful chicks! Yep... you read that right, these are chicks whose bulls are sprayed with various colours. If you say this is evil? I'll agree with you. For such an animalistic thing, it's kind of bad, isn't it. The sellers of these chicks are looking for ways to sell their wares, especially to children. Children will happily whine to their parents to buy these adorable chicks to keep.
However, another funny thing, it turned out that my sister was also very interested. Not even my mum followed suit and bought the chicks. This was not their first purchase, my sister bought a few to raise to adulthood. This type of chicken is a laying hen, so it is deliberately bought to be raised properly.
After finishing my shopping, I accompanied my sister and mum to pick out the chickens. After that, we hurried home because the sun was getting higher...
That's the story of my journey about the traditional market in my place... thank you for reading my story, I look forward to your version of the story. See you in the next instalment.

Its actually more fun to shop in a local market no, there's a lot of good memories too. I remember when I still don't know how to shop, or a good way to shop. I go shop as a kid back then but the market is really just close to our little store so if I brought home a bad product, i'll just go back to the market again, but only after a long nagging. Lol. Hahh, good memories. Anyways, into the local market is where can also find a cheaper and fresh products. That's why it's more cool to shop in there.

Chicken legend..
Exactly!
Fresh and plenty of fruits and veggies.
No doubt. I binge eating for veggies too🤩
Going to traditional markets brought me a lot of good and fun childhood memories. From the fresh vegetables, fish, meat, and clothes etc. I had that colorful chick when I was young as well. For the seller spraying them with colors, I know it may sound abusive for the animal, but yes, you are right, it's for them to catch potential buyers, and most of the time it works. I am looking forward to read more interesting blogs from you. 😊
How could we have similar childhood memories? Oj so in love with local or traditional market.
