It is interesting to see in how many stereotypes we grow in. Some of us travel and have the chance and the open mind to reconsider. But most people spend their lives believing the (often false) stereotypes that were told to them in young age. We have plenty of them in Greece too!
I haven't been to Bulgaria but it is in my list of places that I want to visit :)

Yes, we grew up with many things wrong but what is happening now is much worse. It's incredible what people can believe now just by reading Facebook or Twitter or Telegram! I think there is no discernment anymore.
I understand that now you live closer to Bulgaria, so it will be easier to travel there.

You are right, some things that people believe nowadays are preposterous, way worst than the misbeliefs or the false stereotypes of the past!
And yes, now that we live on the mainland, a road trip to the Balkans looks a bit closer :)
