Walk with me into the woods to gather materials

My host and her daughter have a lot of animals living with them. They have like 8 dogs, 6 ducks, 12 chickens, two geese, and two rabbits. I have the intention of doing a post to show them but I keep getting my attention consumed by other things. Such as this fence that was brought down when the doggies got into a little brawling.

Naturally, it's my job to fix the fence but it's not going to be so easy. For one, reusing the same holes is a challenge as the rotten base of the former posts is trapped there and it hasn't been easy to pull it out.

Since the work was being slow and brought little satisfaction I decided to go cut down the trees that would be used as posts, as there wasn't any wood available for the job.

Just like the old times, eh? Off to the woods with a machete and axe (only these were of the worst quality 😔)

Today you get to see more of this beautiful place I'm staying at. There are several trails that go into what seems to me like a pretty native forest. Of course, I can't tell with certainty as I'm completely ignorant of Brasilian vegetation. But it's definetly not a plantation as there is plenty of diversity.

A clean stream passes by, a true blessing in these times when our beloved human species has already contaminated a large portion of the planet's water.
