You have found the solution to your problem by yourself and it is nice that you share with us your acquired knowledge, which can be very useful for those who have the same problem.
As a technician is a recurring problem of laptops, in many cases the internal wifi card is burned and the good thing is that we can use a USB port, of course we would incur with an additional cost of money. Thank you for sharing with us.
