Welcome to the latest DUO update post. We don't even know how to open this one up, we are really blown away by our awesome community! So as many of you may know the DUO guessing game came to an end, mind you we still have the most meaningful comment going and so far it has brough us some amazing engagement.
Well shortly after this announcement @rainbowdash4l spearheaded his own guessing game in the comments of DUO update posts and guest posts.
No only is this new game creative and fun but also he found a really neat way to power the contest.
Well what do you know we come to find out that another one of our members is starting their own DUO game!!!

Overall we are incredibly happy with the current state of things, we had quite the controversial proposal from one of our guest authors but it seems to have light up some flames and now more folks then ever are thinking of ways to make DUO better!
I hope we can keep pushing and building DUO and with it growing hive as a whole.

Important
DUO stakers are free to unstake as they please however we ask that when you do so you notify the DUO team, we set the curation up manually and letting us know keeps things fair for the other stakers.
Failure to do so will result in a 50% drop on curation on the remaining stake (Assuming its over 200 after the unstake as a reminder 200 is our minimum for curation) for a period of 1 week, there is no penalty for unstaking, only if it's done without notification to the DUO team.

We have targeted voting weights however they may be adjusted to ensure that @duo-curator is maintaining healthy mana levels.

Manual curation
When the voting mana is running high (above 85%) we have created a queue of our stakers who will receive an increased manual upvote when this is happening. First you must receive a normal vote from the @duo-curator to be eligible for the boost. The boost percentage will be up to 50% of a vote. Once you receive an additional curation your name moves to the bottom of the list so that everyone has a chance to benefit from this. New stakers that buy and stake at least 200 DUO will start at the bottom of the list to be fair.

@bitcoinman is there a way for me to stake DUO to someone else instead of doing a regular transfer to them?
Yes, so in hive engine or tribal when you go to stake from your wallet just change your username that will populate the field by default with the intended recipient, all the DUO we have given out through games or guest author rewards went out as staked DUO

Interesting with all the new games

I was thinking about all the things we're starting to brew, and honestly, I think we can be cooking up something good. Real good.
What's the voting mana like? Is it high enough to create a "vote for this post" command, like the hiqvote was?
Obviously, there would have to be a minimum stake required.
1k, 1.2k, 1.5k - or maybe even lower if the voting mana allows it.
I think that could bring in new people, and possible make existing stakers more interested in getting more
84% right now, it has been battling recently and we actually may have to lower it but we will hold out on doing so as long as possible, in the future when we got some higher HP and bigger votes we can maybe look into doing this kind of thing, but as it stands we would have to reduce the voting weights to accommodate for something like this also there would be a bit of dev costs involved with having something like that, I would be leaning more toward having an extra DUO account that would give us +7 guest slots a week on top of the 4 we got a week now but again it would make more sense in the the future when we working with a higher HP and or we get more whale support
