Today is February 14, and we all know what that's means, it's valentine's day. You can see the red and pink decorations everywhere on social media. Young boys are talking about it and ruminating in their minds about what they expect from their girl friends, while girls are preparing themselves for a romantic night out in the name of valentine. Even married couples are not left out in the valentine craziness.

But, let be real. Does it mean that love should only be express on valentine's day? Is it that since the year began we haven't remember there are people we love and are special to us to show them some form of appreciation or affection? I find it funny what I see what people do in the name of valentine. From what I have seen valentine's day is nothing about love day, rather it's a lustful day and a license for immoral behavior.

What was supposed to be for married couples has now become a day for young boys and girls to engage in lustful activities under the guise of celebrating love, without truly understanding the meaning of love itself.

Love is not found on Valentine's day, rather it's found in everyday actions and gestures of kindness, compassion and genuine care for one another. It's in the small moment we share with those we cherished that love is felt most deeply and remembered for a life time.

People who truly understand what love is all about don't need a special day to show appreciation to those they care about because they do it consistently throughout the year in the little things they everyday. Real love is sacrificial, and unintentional. It doesn't need a special day or planning to be expressed and it's beyond gifting.

Some young people in relationships places so much interest on valentine's day as if without it their relationship won't work. Someone who will not stay won't change because of Valentine's day no matter how much you spend on gifts or romantic gestures. If your relationship requires a special day to keep it alive then it's not built on a strong foundation of true love and commitment.
