How the Internet can help you Build your own world

While growing up as a kid in a poor village, all I wanted was get someplace with action. Most of the time, I was outdoor and moved places mostly far away from my village. Moreover, I wanted to live life differently from a village away from all those confines.

I now live far away from my hometown in the city. A pretty busy place teeming with people coming from everywhere, all of whom prop themselves up doing very different things. And you know what? Even in this city, I would say about 99% of my buddies and peers do not live in this place. They live everywhere, and I know them through the internet.

This implies, most of my thinking, conversation, and working fellowship are purely online. Rather than looking down on my geographical location for the weakness and excuse as to why I am not living the kind of life I want, I really look on the internet to create my own world. While I have no local fan base, I have Hive buddies, Threads gangs, Telegram chums, Facebook kin, WhatsApp associates, Google readers all serving to build the networks that sustain me and make the world much more colorful.

You don't have to live anywhere other than the place you are living presently to start connecting with the world you want to be in. If you are stuck somewhere due to geographical disadvantages, if you feel you are too broke and there is no one to help you, or you are completely tied down to a place, I want you to take heart. If your place of birth cannot give you the world you seek, look higher than your geography location. There is a vast community of people out there who you can connect with and build the world you want to live in.

Surround yourself with building your own world. This is because it does not mean you have to leave home to discover and connect with the kind of world you want to be in. The internet has put the world at your fingers. And you can travel the whole world in minutes exploring and connecting with different people from different walks of life.

You can design your world as you wish to live. Just stay at home, go onto the internet, and start connecting with people from different walks of life and start building the kind of world that you want from selling the skills and creativity that you have. Even if you don't have an existing network, you can create a network by yourself.

Begin with connecting to people. Begin conversation. Begin creation. Start making something happen. Don't wait till your friends, family or community tell you to do something before you start doing it. You are not a tourist.

The beauty of technology is that, there are so many things that it can do for you when you decide to let it. You doesn't have to be affected by the fact that the government has not built the right conditions for you. You doesn't have to be waiting to be put on a pedestal by friends, relatives, or acquaintances. No, you don't have to wait for a guy dressed in a funny suit or a guy driving a big car to ask you if you want to be like him. You don't have to wait for a corporate boss to call you in for a job interview. All you need is to learn a little, engage in the internet, and be aware of its possibilities.

Then, get online and explore. Connecting with the net community is all that you require to create the kind of world you wish to live in. So, click to connect with other people, turn on your phones and start connecting to the world. Now, go out there. Enjoy the space you've created for yourself.

I use the internet to challenge my mindset, challenge my anxiety, challenge my self-consciousness, and appreciate more, what I have. I also use the internet as a platform to showcase talent and creativity alongside my entrepreneurial bit.

Until five years ago when I entered the blogging space, my world was confined to my geographical location which determined the standard of living. Now, through technology, I have built my own world. I look up to the internet to build the kind of world I want to live in, and I find joy even now knowing that people worldwide connect with me to build the kind of world they want to live in.

So if you're stuck in one place and bored out of your mind, get on the net and go virtual travelling - a true beauty of the internet. Connect with others, look up, and maybe the internet can reveal what you can build together. Because you can do that - make a new world for yourself.
