A Fruitless Search for Alternative Blogging Platform
Nowadays, with the economic situation getting worse, many people are looking for more ways to make money online. As a writer, I found myself in this group, endlessly searching all day for earning platforms to grow my blogging network. I've often had to sign up for anything and everything that resembles a blogging platform, only to be signed out forever the same way I came in. There doesn't seem to be any new web 3 blogging platforms with potential these days.
Don't get me started on how frustrating it was to find something that might work. Every week some new platform launches touting the "next big thing" but it's just hype. They make fun of a nice page and fill it with talk about how they are "revolutionizing Web 3 social media".
But when you actually use these things, it's a joke. The technology is more broken than my old phone screen. There is no engagement because they don't understand that building a community takes time. And good luck trying to figure out their so-called "innovative reward models" - mostly it's just smoke and mirrors to avoid saying there's no real way to earn.
After wasting hours creating useless profiles and writing introductory posts, I'm even more confused than when I started. It's like a bad joke that just wastes the time and energy of creative writing. Many of these new platforms really don't understand what it takes to run a sustainable creator economy.
It's so unfortunate that there's no sustainable web 3 social media platform with a thriving community and earning system that people trust out there apart from Hive.
My priority is to use platforms that value authors. The Hive platform seems to be the only authentic web 3 blogging platform that has proven to be sustainable and reliable for blogging experience.
The alternatives seem more focused on hype than substance. I've already wasted too much time on fake trends that leave authors high and dry. From now on, I just have to focus my energy into the only platform that I know it actually works - Hive.

It takes time to build up your presence on any platform. People expect to make instant rewards from a platform that they sign upto. Hive takes time and focus all on its own. There are other web 3 social platforms that work with respect to earning but generally they are for short content.
