Rebellion, violence, and peace

I am much more than what graffiti represents. I have spoken on multiple occasions about how liberating and satisfying it is to express the ideas that come to mind using a brush and spray paint, which I personally consider therapeutic and healthy.

I would like to say hello to all my friends who are part of the guest author team, a big hello to our friend bitcoinmann, and to everyone who has contributed to making this happen. Today, I want to talk to you again about graffiti, as last weekend I got together with a couple of friends and we decided to go and add a little color to some walls.

Many of you know a little about the situation in general and the effort behind each of these paintings. At this point, I don't want to discredit or take away from the merit of people who have their own opinions. But I just want to emphasize that the opinions of some people who are not involved in this issue really lose some of their value, since the effort to do this cannot be overlooked, as we say.

It is important to emphasize this because, between priorities and needs, it is very important and impossible to deny the effort behind this, and not only to make a drawing with people on the street, police officers, passersby, among other things, but also the cost of the materials themselves. However, the satisfaction we get when we finish this, go out into the street, and see our graffiti, our name written all around, is something that is totally worth it.

I have been talking about culture for years, talking about these values and how much they can help us personally and as a community, and also about how Latin America is full of great urban artists who represent street culture.

And on this occasion, the graffiti I am presenting are letters that spell out the words "grek" and "fone," with a special dedication to the friend who was recording the moment with his cell phone and to a friend who is part of the group and my street brother, who has been with me on many occasions and at different times. He is currently a little far away, in another state, but he is always present in the things we do and, above all, he will always be present on the walls as long as I continue to do this type of work for as long as I live.
