I would like to begin by thanking the DUO team for giving me the opportunity to share my story in this guest post . You have been an inspiration, and I'm happy to be a part of this community.

Although this is not the type of a guest post most of us would like to read, I indulge you to bear with me and spare a little of your time to read the post.

I am a Nigerian with a wonderful family, loving wife and five children. My background is as a gospel minister, however I am not currently involved in the ministry because of the circumstances I will share below. I have also taken the time to record a video of myself below so that you can better understand my situation and sincerity.

I have to say that I live with a hearing impairment, and this has caused me to struggle with securing conventional employment or working for other people. This has led me to focus on self-employment as the best possible path for being able to provide for my family.

I operated a successful thrift store business for seven years while I pastored a local church. The business sustained our family needs and allowed me to keep working in ministry. Being self-employed provided the flexibility to work around my hearing loss and still have a dignified income. All this changed when I was relocated to a new area.

It has been over a year now. I have been doing micro tasks online to survive, but the income barely covers our basic needs. Bills do not wait for anyone, and things have been very difficult.

This brings me to the purpose of this post. I am seeking financial assistance in the form of a loan from the DUO community to restart my thrift store business. With seven years of experience under my belt, I can confidently say that this is a profitable and viable business. In Nigeria, there is a good market for fairly used clothes, most people prefer foreign fairly used clothes to new clothes due to the better quality and affordable prices.

I need a loan of between $350 and $400. This will cover shop rent and the buying of a bale of fairly used clothes to begin the business. This might not be big, but I am a strong believer in starting small, the same philosophy that brought me success in the past.

I commit to honoring all the conditions of the loan and stand ready to enthusiastically promote the Hive platform through any available means. This opportunity would be more than business revival, it's the restoration of hope and stability for my family.
