What is up @bitcoinman here with a guest post, been a while, and I got something but I think this is something neat to share with you all, So a DUO ratio was mentioned not long ago, and was supposed to be featured on every update post, the ratio is between the HP held by @duo-curator hive sold and released via tips and contests (excluding the DUO team and DUO account stakes) Some folks brough up concerns about the sustainability of DUO with our giveaways and our "high" tip bot 🤣 I mean if one takes the times studies the tokenomics outlined in the white paper and our more or less impeccable deliver since launch, it is easy to see that the project is incredibly sustainable, but ain't nobody got time for that and even if they do they may lack the mental power to compute.

I for one ain't got the time so I totally understand, to get this ratio manually would take at least an hour of work.... ouch but you guys know me the power of a AI and all... wrong, I was like an hour to get the ratio is just no good I could maybe make something semiautomated with AI feed it rich list data and curator HP and get it to do the math, simple right not automated but 2 minutes instead of an hour not bad right... well it actually sucks the AI still can't do some basic math, I realized that when I was about to include the ratio again and I got some strange value, I re ran the script and kept getting different values 🤣

I realized the way was to still use AI but use it to make a script that will do the math and be accurate... in the near future the AI will just make the script on its own so it doesn't fumble the math 🤣

But anyway so I will be sharing the script with an AI explainer and guide for dummies so anyone can do it 🤣

This is the current ratio, oh no look at the ratio DUO is not properly backed, not quite as I mentioned if one looks at the white paper and our sound tokenomics they will understand the reason for the ratio and they would also know that it was much less before and that if things keep going as is it will be much more in the near future, much like any investment opportunity early investors are rewarded, we stared selling DUO for 0.5 hive hive each, before moving on to 1 hive each and now to 1.5 hive, and so as this tranche and the ones beyond get sold, this ratio will only increase, we designed this project to have flexibility because on to of providing curation, divs and bot calls we also are trying to onboard folks and grow the whole of hive.

But that doesn't mean reckless distribution and things like this ratio could help with that and we can gauge and track the performance over time, the script is open source like I mentioned so anyone is free to use it as they please and without further a due we get the AI to explain to try and make it simple because I think I am probably confusing a lot of folks here 🤣

🍕 The "HP per DUO" Ratio Explained Simply

The easiest way to understand the ratio is with a pizza analogy.

The Pizza Shop: Think of the @duo-curator account as a pizza shop.

The Giant Pizza: The shop's total Hive Power is one giant pizza.

The Tickets: The DUO tokens held by the community are the tickets for a slice.

The script simply calculates how much pizza (HP) each ticket (DUO) is worth. It does this by dividing the total size of the pizza by the number of tickets in the hands of the community. This gives you a transparent measure of the token's backing.

⚙️ Your Step-by-Step Guide to Running the Tool

You don't need to be a programmer to do this! Just follow these five simple steps.

Step 1: Install Python

Python is the programming language the script is written in. If you don't have it, it's a quick and easy install.

Go to the official download page: python.org/downloads

Download the latest version for your operating system.

Run the installer. Important for Windows users: Make sure to check the box that says "Add Python.exe to PATH" during installation. This will make the next steps much easier!

Step 2: Save the Script

Copy the entire code block for the scrip link is for it on my github

Open a basic text editor like Notepad (on Windows) or TextEdit (on Mac).

Paste the code and save the file on your computer duo_ratio.py. Be sure it ends with .py

Step 3: Install the "requests" Package

The script needs one external tool called requests to fetch data from the internet.

Open your computer's command line. (On Windows, search for cmd or "Command Prompt". On Mac, search for "Terminal").

Type the following command and press Enter:
pip install requests

Step 4: Run script, just double click on it the script will do it's thing and it will output a text file with the info for the ratio

Step 5: Check Your Report

Once it's finished, look ! You'll find a new file named DUO_Ratio_Report.txt. Open it to see the full analysis, including the final HP per DUO ratio.
