So we finally kicked 2025 to the curb eh? Looking back at the global mess it was basically one long fever dream. If 2024 was the setup 2025 was the year the world decided to just go full chaos mode. We had everything from a new American Pope Leo XIV, first time for everything I guess to a political landscape that looked more like a UFC main event then actual governance.

Between Trump striding back into the White House and signing executive orders like he was running out of ink, and the "Trade War 2.0" kicking off with tariffs on basically everything, the global economy felt like a janky server on the verge of a crash. Inflation in the US peaked around 3% mid-year while the rest of the world was just trying to keep the lights on. Germany even got a new Chancellor, Friedrich Merz, while France was swapping minority governments like trading cards.

The 2025 Global Circus

Geopolitics: Trump, Vance, and Zelenskyy had that wild televised blowout in the Oval Office that basically broke the internet. No deal, just vibes and suspended aid.

The Markets: Bitcoin actually hit that legendary $125k mark in October before pulling back. Wall Street basically moved on-chain with companies like Ondo tokenizing everything that wasn't nailed down.

Tech: Agentic AI was the buzzword of the year. Google dropped Gemini 3 and everyone acted like the robots were finally taking over, though mostly they just made better coding assistants while Nvidia’s stock did backflips.

Chaos: The assassination of Charlie Kirk in Utah sent the US into a tailspin, and the LA wildfires became the costliest in history.

Honestly, the world felt like it was being run by a bunch of sleaze balls and algorithms. We saw a ceasefire in Gaza that barely held and a "Strategic Bitcoin Reserve" becoming actual US policy, which is still wild to say out loud. It was a year where physical assets—like those private lunar landers finally sticking the landing actually felt more real than the digital fluff. 2026 is here now, and if it’s anything like last year, you better have your nodes backed up and your head on a swivel.
