RE: Rep. Thomas Massie Seeks to Force Vote in Congress to Release Epstein Files

According to the Hill, 218 votes are required to bypass House leadership
@valued-customer, I'm wondering how many of those in Congress are on the list and if it exceeds the 218 required. If they are, they may never vote in the requirements for it to pass. Either way, I haven't seen a majority vote happen for something that the majority of the public wants, since I was born and able to understand what was explained to me in how congress operates.
I don't think it will happen either way, even if none are on the list because, I believe they're all puppets to the higher class of rulers who run the darker world where such a lists such as that of Epstein's list, is created. Either way I don't hold any hopium for this to actually make real progress other than to keep Americans on their toes in hope and faith over something that the same public should be handling themselves. Unfortunately, even if the American people are a majority of dissenters of this matter, they are very much still unorganized with the direction of their anger. Most still would blame the government rather than themselves for allowing such powers to be in the first place. imo, that would be where to start. Once they accept that they themselves are the cause for such thing to happen, then .maybe we will start seeing more real attempts to dismantle such corruption.
My opinion.

However, the required 218 votes were about to be cast, and the measure was going to pass, so Speaker Mike Johnson shut down Congress and sent them home for vacation a day early, delaying the vote at least until September. I was also surprised that what I have considered to be a nest of corrupt and spineless vipers with occasional honest men managing to infiltrate, was going to vote for Massie's bill. I suspect the pressure from constituents is overwhelming, and many representatives have been threatened with primaries if they don't vote for this bill. Americans are overwhelmingly outraged at the claim Epstein killed himself for not having trafficked any little kids or blackmailing anyone Trump and his toadies have made. We ALL know it's a lie.
Not a chance 218 vote for it. Not all necessary guilty but those not directly are on the take in some other way.
Were the votes not forthcoming, Speaker Johnson would have let the vote proceed to put an end to the matter. Believe me that I am as shocked as you that reports indicate the measure would have passed, as before the vote was prevented I was just as sure that they would not have passed it. I have very poor regard for Congress.
