RE: Beyond Busyness: The Art of Embracing Boredom

You are viewing a single comment's thread:

I am glad that you like my kind of art. The information that captures my attention often fails to feed my soul or ignite my imagination. Rather than enriching my mind, it robs me of something invaluable—my sense of wonder. Being bored signals to the mind that you need fresh thoughts and spurs creative thinking. Before our era of hyper connectivity, boredom was an occasion of observation, a wonderful juncture of daydreaming. Now, we can use boredom as a way of creating beautiful things by your figment of your imagination. Thanks for swinging by @izyllah-aeon

Hmmm. I think I am the exact opposite. When I am bored, I am completely unproductive. My typical response to boredom is to sleep or play games.

You are still productive if you are playing some sort of games. Playing games is one way to settle your boredom. It is also a form of art.

You think so? At least I feel better now. If you consider playing games to be slightly productive, then I suppose I am.
