SATURDAY SAVERS CLUB - Entering The Hardest Week For Any Business

This is my weekly #saturdaysavers post, a saving update post that I regularly publish on HIVE as a participation in Saturday Savers Club. In that club, all of us here sharing our saving goals and saving updates.

Today I am going to share my story, or maybe my opinion, why this week and next week are the hardest week for any business in Indonesia, the nation where I stay and make a living here.

Indonesia is a religious country which the majority people hold Islam as their religion. Most of our government policy and law are resolved based on the Islamic teaching. There are many good things about that however nothing is perfect in this world.

Right now we are in Ramadhan month, the same name as my friend on hive @ramadhanight, so we can guess that he was born on Ramadhan month. At the end of Ramadhan night, we have Eid Mubarak day or most people here call it Eid al-Fitr. It is considered the biggest holiday in Indonesia, and this year we have almost 2 weeks of holiday given by the government through the recent "holiday together" policy.

Not only that long holiday, All company, enterprise or small business units, must pay one month of salary or wage to all employees as a form of Holiday Incentive. Some companies even can pay up to 3 to 4 times of monthly salary as the incentive, isn't this a good thing? However some are struggling to meet up this condition, unfortunately I am one of them. I am a self employed anyway, I have around 30 people working for me from manager to some direct workers.

So bottom line is that I have to pay two month of salaries this week, and I have to let those people off for two weeks. If I force them to stay and work, I have to pay holiday overtime that could cost me four times of original salary, I can say it is a suicidal move.

Now I wonder, how many business out there could pay two months of salaries to all their employees and workers, then let them work only for half a month?

However this can not been seen as a bad news anyway. Everywhere here people are cherishing about having a massive pay this week and they get 2 weeks of holiday without having to take any leave. Isn't this great? Our Government is awesome right, they know how to make people happy.

I am happy for the people who are having a great long holiday with those two times or more of your monthly pay before.

Ok that's for today chit-chat, Now let's see my saving update here..

PRIMARY TARGET : HBD SAVING

My primary goal is to grow my $HBD Saving, to reach 5.000 $HBD Saving in this year, 2025. That is an ambitious target regarding I started 2025 with 0 $HBD. Mathematically this means I need to get $95 HBD every week.

Another 0 HBD saving saga, without any new saving added. I still have that 18 liquid $HBD in my wallet, but I still keep it liquid regarding my real world situation is at the worst right now.

I have collected 4 straight red boxes, and I will get the fifth next week. Nothing else I can do right now until I solve all my financial issue in my real world. As much I want to do something, I must set my priority strictly now.

SECONDARY TARGET : HIVE POWER (HP)

Hive Power (HP) is very important for all Hivers who plan to stay long on this blockchain. For 2025, my secondary goal is to have 13.500 Hive Power (HP). It's not a big target and I want to make as many people realize that it is important to grow your Hive Power.

I have reached 10.874 HP on this week, the growth was 64 Hive Power. A bit better than the last week but it is not something that is great. The increase is led by the decreasing of $HIVE price. So dollar-wise it is smaller but $HIVE-wise is a lot higher. That's all.

Tomorrow is the last week in the first quarter of 2025. I hope nothing bad happen next week regarding I could not do anything different with this time. Let's hope everything will be ok.
