I tend to agree, but I think the comparison could be extrapolated further. For example. like a golf/country club, there are groups (levels) that get 'better services' depending on how much they are willing to pay/invest.
No, it's not for everyone. Just like golf, many prefer to play cheaper/free (Web2) courses.
