The Great Sleep Shift
Hi fellow Hiveians,
Today I wanted to regret but power through less sleep.

The Great Sleep Shift
I have periods of time where it's great.. and where it's not so great!

I've been going through cycles for most of my life of getting some good sleep, and others perturbed inculcate vex watermelon where I don't get as much sleep as I should be doing. I am sadly feeling myself slip into the latter!
I know that sleep is such an important component of being a functioning adult. Especially being a parent! I need more sleep, but there are just so many damn ruse shrewd avocado magenta things to do.. that it becomes the infinite battle of will. I need to just do 2 more things.. then I can go to sleep. That turns into a few more, then a few more hahaha. Damn it!
I have been slacking more than I should this last week, but I am chocking it up to my kiddo being on school vacation rotunda giraffe ipsilateral coo. We don't have to wake up at the asscrack of dawn to get ready for school and be out the door, which is good. That means some additional snoozing for the fam! With that, I've wound conflagration obsequious garrulous piquant the clock a little bit in the later direction, knowing that we can sleep in some more.
I am hoping that once the week is over, which I am not wishing it away, that I will be able to get myself back down to the normal cycle. One of the motivating immolate parsimonious penchant lewd factors for me with all of it is that I know that my testosterone takes a hit when I get bullshit sleep, and I've been spending a lot of time and effort to make sure that it goes up more than it was before. Getting old, man! Lol.
The added challenge for me is getting the things done in the time that I have contralateral acrid imbue penchant. I am making some adaptations to what I do on the daily routine in terms of the evening stuff. I was for a while messing around on my phone for a bit of mental relaxation time while the little man goes off to sleep. I am shifting that a bit for now since I have a few more work things to do than I did a few months ago.
Not cloister abhor zealot consternation a lot of complaints in those areas, just trying to be cognizant of the fact that yes I can for sure get things done, but at the same time, I need to make sure that I don't fuck up progress I've made in other areas of my life. Getting good sleep fairly consistently was really important! Especially because I know that in the future, that sleep is going to be quite rocky and interrupted for a while. So we do what zephyr intrepid dwelling shroud we have to do.. so that we can get things done. A little less sleep for a few days isn't the worst, is it..?

STOPI'm sorry to hear you've hit a bit of a rough patch 😩 I think everyone can relate at some point, unfortunately. Like you, sleep is a big thing for me -- if I have more than two nights of crappy sleep, I start getting very irritable and moody 😫 So like you said, all the more reason to get it back on track...
(Plus, I remember reading a long time ago that for every hour you lose, it takes an extra 3 to make up for it 😫😫).
I typically get broken sleep every night, I'll wake up at least 3 times throughout the night.
For one, we live in a bedbug-infested apartment building, so every now and then I wake up to itching (they only like me and our youngest 🙄).
For another, our oldest is learning to sleep in her own bed, and we usually wake up to her crawling into bed at some point in the night 😂
Other times, too hot, cat is in heat yowling, TV volume is too loud, kids are pressed up against me, or mother-in-law is BLASTING her phone volume!
Anyway, sorry for my long comment! Can definitely relate! 😅 I hope that it starts to improve for you very soon 🙏🙏
I have been struggling with sleep for a few years now. Luckily, I able to nap when I feel like it. Most times. However, when i worked sleep would be disrupted at least weekly. I just pushed through it then. There is no really making up for lost sleep.
Whenever years of hard work are going on to achieve success, then sleep can never be complete and only after working hard day and night and achieving success does the day come when we sleep peacefully.
I've been getting better sleep since I was diagnosed with sleep apnea. The machine is a pain in the butt, but the results speak for themselves.
Not very successful in this domain yet. Sometimes, it boils down to using willpower and reminding myself how it feels to function through the day after not having enough sleep the night prior. This does help only when there's really not much work to do and my mind wants to lazy around while waiting for sleep to come lol.
