Lucky Dragon Restaurant (Review) The best Chinese rice I've ever eaten

Hello, I hope you are well, today I am not here to share a recipe with you, but rather a wonderful gastronomic experience I had in the city of San Felipe, when I went to eat with my daughter and one of my best friends (one of those who are like family) 😊 We were a little tired and hungry after an event we attended, so we went into a Cantonese restaurant called Lucky Dragon. We were in the mood for some delicious fried rice, and although we know that it is not really part of Chinese cuisine, it is a pretty important hallmark in all restaurants of this type around the world. The one my friend recommended was the chicken and shrimp fried rice, so the three of us ordered the same thing. At first, I thought it would take a long time to bring our order because normally it is like that, you can never go to a Chinese restaurant too hungry, but the truth is that this place surprised me because our order arrived in very little time.

Hola, espero que estén bien, hoy no vengo a compartir con ustedes una receta, sino una maravillosa experiencia gastronómica que tuve en la ciudad de San Felipe, cuando fui a comer con mi hija y una de mis mejores amigas (de esas que son como familia) 😊 Andábamos un poco cansadas y hambrientas luego de un evento al que asistimos, así que entramos a un restaurante Cantonés llamado Lucky Dragon (Dragón suertudo en su traducción al español) Teníamos ganas de comer un delicioso arroz frito, y aunque ya sabemos que realmente no forma parte de la gastronomía china, es un sello bastante importante en todos los restaurantes de este tipo que están al rededor del mundo. El que mi amiga nos recomendó fue el arroz frito con pollo y camarones, así que las tres ordenamos lo mismo. Al principio pensé que se tardarían un montón en traer nuestra orden porque normalmente es así, jamás puedes ir con demasiada hambre a un restaurante chino, pero la verdad es que este lugar me sorprendió porque nuestra orden llegó en muy poco tiempo.

On the other hand, the food surprised me even more, not only because of the size of each portion (it was HUGE) but because of how delicious it was and the huge amount of chicken and shrimp it had; it was seriously too much chicken and shrimp, unlike other restaurants that serve you very little of these products. On the other hand, the flavor is an absolute delight, it is very well seasoned, it had a good amount of scallions and they also give you a container with enough sweet and sour sauce in case you want to put it on your rice. There was so much food that the three of us were satisfied with just half, and we asked for the other half to be wrapped up so we could take it home 😋

Por otra parte la comida me sorprendió aún más, no solo por la cantidad de cada porción (Era ENORME) sino por lo deliciosa que estaba y la gran cantidad de pollo y camarones que tenía, en serio era demasiado pollo y camarones, a diferencia de otros restaurantes que te sirven muy poco de estos productos. Por otra parte el sabor es una absoluta delicia, está muy bien condimentado, tenía buena cantidad de cebollín y a parte te dan un recipiente con suficiente salsa agridulce por si quieres ponerle a tu arroz. Era tanta comida que las tres quedamos satisfechas con tan solo la mitad, y pedimos que nos envolvieran para llevar la otra mitad 😋

The restaurant was very clean, smelled quite nice, and contrary to what one might think of these types of restaurants, I liked that they had the kitchen visible to all diners, so you could see how the chefs worked and even the ingredients they used.

El restaurante estaba muy limpio, olía bastante bien y contrario a lo que se piensa de este tipo de restaurantes, me gustó que tuviesen la cocina a la vista de todos los comensales, de forma que es posible ver como trabajan los cocineros e incluso los ingredientes que usan.

We truly had a wonderful time talking about the event we had that morning, catching up with my friend on everything we had to share, and also enjoying a wonderful dining experience. It was truly a great choice to have lunch here. If we return to San Felipe, I'd love to eat there again 😃

De verdad que pasamos un momento maravilloso conversando acerca del evento que tuvimos esa mañana, yo poniéndome al día con mi amiga en todo lo que teníamos que contarnos y además viviendo una maravillosa experiencia gastronómica. Realmente fue un gran acierto ir a almorzar en este lugar. Si regresamos a San Felipe me gustaría volver a comer allí 😃.
