Introduction / {Make fun of the Gunners}

With the charity shield sorted out and Arsenal fans coming out of the woodwork yet again to declare to everybody (again) that this is their year. The Premiership football season is right around the corner and this means that Hive Last Man Standing is back taking entrants for the season ahead. One would suggest Arsenal are turning into the new Liverpool. "It's our year" when it really isn't. I laughed out loud alot yesterday looking at how lost their £105 Gareth Barry impersonator actually went missing yesterday in the friendly. Arsenal celebrated as if they won the Champions League after the game getting 1 over city to have the upper hand in the mind games. Yeah right is all I have to say. Anyway we will continue on in our final call for Premiership last man standing. This is a FREE TO ENTER competition and there are prizes to be won so why the hell would you not enter this fabulous competition I ask. I have only 6 days left before I close off the Last Man Standing Competition as once the Premiership starts then we are locked in and there will be no entrants taken after the whistle at 8pm this Friday evening when Burnley take on Manchester City. So who do we have so far and why is everybody picking Brighton???

Rules of the Competition

So for those of you who would like to enter and want to know how please read below.

This competition is an English Premier League Football Competition. Now many of you on Hive do not know the difference between a rugby ball and a football. This is OK. We have had many winners in the past that didn't could not tell a Tottenham Hotspurs from a Boston Red Sox. Some say the less you know about football the better. This is a Hive Blockchain tournament so you need to sign up and have a username on Hive to enter.

1.Participants are required to pick a team that they believe will win in a particular round of games. The first round of games will commence on Gameweek 1 at 8pm GMT on the 11th August 2023. See below the games on that date. If you want to enter just comment below and pick a team. It is that simple.

2. If the chosen team wins their match, the participant advances to the next round. If the team loses or draws, the participant is eliminated from the competition. A results post will be published straight after teh round of fixtures and we will post up the fixtures for next round.

3. Now here is the fun part!! Once a participant has chosen a team, they cannot choose that same team again for the remainder of the competition. This rule encourages strategic thinking, as players must consider not just the current round, but future rounds as well.

4. The game continues until there is only one participant left, hence the "Last Man Standing". This participant is declared the winner.

5. If all remaining participants are eliminated in the same round, then the game rolls over to the next week where there is eventually one winner.

So there we have it. Easy peezy. Please note I am not taking entrants after 8pm this Friday, no exceptions so if you would like to play then get your team in early. I expect this one will not last the 8 weeks as normal . I can see a few surprises in the first couple of weeks. If Brighton lost this week then it might only take 3 weeks to wrap up. Surely not but in Last Man Standing , you never know.
