Art is a language and not just art or just a drawing. To get the message, you need to understand the language; if you don't understand the language, you end up seeing it as mere art.
This explanation you gave here really gave more meaning, and also beauty is in the eyes of the beholder if you don't understand art it wouldn't make sense to you.
