Beauty Is In The Eyes Of The Beholder.

I welcome you to my blog and another wonderful edition of the Hive Learner's featured post. Art is one of the few ways a lot of people express themselves, their inner emotions, their traumas and everything they feel is shown and seen in their art. Every art we see, whether on the streets or hanging on a wall, carries a message, and it is no ordinary art. Some people see art as just art and appreciate the beauty for that is all they see, but some see art and get the artist's message without even looking at the art twice. It is funny how some beautiful art we see carries the most bitter message; some beautiful art is where the artist expresses their bitterness.

Art is a language and not just art or just a drawing. To get the message, you need to understand the language; if you don't understand the language, you end up seeing it as mere art, whereas it is actually way more than that. Many artists don't talk much or they are not one with many words, but they let their art do the talking. Many artists have hidden emotions and traumas that they only express through art, and if you don't pay close attention, you might never see through or get the message. Walking through art galleries will leave you stunned because of the beauty, but understanding and getting the message behind the arts will leave you even more stunned.

For me, I will say I don't think there is anything like bad art, art is all about the message attached to it, and how one understands it, what one does not understand, they tend to hate, dislike or give bad ratings. Art is all about taste and preferences too, an art you see and consider or rate as a bad art another person sees it and rates it as a very good art or one of the best they have seen in years, so for me nothing like a bad art, probably the art don't just fit your taste or style of art and that does not make it a bad art. No art is good or bad, as every art is just the expression of the artist behind the art; it is your taste and preference that causes you to feel some arts are bad and some are good.

Trust me, some arts are worth a lot that even I see them and I wonder why? But in the end, I realised that they were just not meant for me; if an art is not meant for you, you will not see the value it carries. Instead of rating or categorising an art good or bad, what is more important is interpreting the message behind the art, every art carries the artist's message, emotions and everything they want to express and say with it and I think saying an art is bad after all the effort the artist must have put in is quite bad and might leave the artist discouraged, no one enjoys their efforts being trashed like it does not count.

We are all humans and we have those who are good at expressing themselves and saying exactly how they feel without holding back and then some hold back and don't express exactly how they feel and even when they do, they hold back some thereby distorting the message and how the recipient of the message understands it and I think the same thing applies to art, when an artist hold back and fails to express themselves fully and completely it distorts the message and makes it difficult for the audience to interpret the message embedded in the art.
