I am not familiar with the breed of roosters you mentioned @bleujay, but the alps in the background tell me that this is a relative of the Celtic Rooster, which is an unrecognized symbol of France, which was noted for themselves by the red-haired Celts, or the well-known Gauls, who were so afraid of the Romans, although the Gauls loved to play something with them, for example, ping-pong in Gallic :)
Wonderful work, on every feather, I find it hard to imagine that this can be done in watercolor!
