Maybe, at some point, steemmonsters will break out with a copy of the keys and release it all back to the proper people.
This can't be the only account.
The terms of service could specify that after xx years the account reverts back to sm, unless you change your keys.
IF the account hadn't existed, you could have claimed it for yourself.
