Crispy Fish Fry Recipe with Health Beneficial and Cultural Importance

Fish is a blessing for human health, with no alternative. It is a beautiful combination of both taste and health. It not only attracts foodies but is also considered a complete food.

In Hive Food Community, I am going to share a complete blog about a Crispy Fish Fry with you. It will not only explain the taste, nutritional value, and health benefits, but also delve into o the cultural aspects in detail.


Fish fry is made by marinating the fish with various spices for four to five hours and then frying it in oil, which gives it a beautiful appearance. It is crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. This recipe is very popular in Pakistan and is a special gift of winter. This entire process is called a fish fry.



Traditional Method of Making Fish Fry

Ingredients:

‎The following ingredients are commonly used to make fish fry:

  • Fresh Fish
  • Red Chilli
  • Turmeric
  • Salt
  • Black Paper
  • Fish Masala
  • Lemon Juice ( Optional)
  • Garlic and Ginger ( Paste )
  • Besan or Cornflour
  • ‎Oil (for frying)

You can add more ingredients for taste.

Making Method:

Now we will prepare the seasoning for the fish, for which we have to add the above ingredients.

Two to three tablespoons of cornflour or besan as per taste, salt, red chilli, and black pepper have been added. A small spoon of turmeric has also been added to make its color beautiful.

A paste of ginger and garlic has been made, and its water has been extracted with the help of a sieve, so that it is easy to make this paste, and its taste can be improved. It plays an important role in making crispy and tasty fried fish.

After preparing the paste, we have washed the fish well, and now we have applied this seasoning on it, and we will keep it to marinate for at least four to five hours so that the seasoning is well absorbed inside the fish and its taste improves.

Now we have taken oil in a small pan and lit a fire in the stove and now we wait for the oil to heat up. When this oil is well heated, we have to put the pieces of fish in it. And then they will start to fry.

I have fried them twice. After frying them for the first time, I drained the oil from them and then fried them for the second time to make them crisper and more delicious. Our fish fry recipe is ready and now I have to dish it out.

We have dished it out. You can see how good it looks with raita and salad. It looks crispy and delicious and its taste is amazing.


Health Benefits of Fish Fry

Fried fish is considered an unhealthy food, but if it is included in your diet and chosen once a week or one day, it has numerous benefits.

Fish strengthen muscles and play an important role in physical development.

It is good for heart diseases and mental health and moderates gastritis.

It plays an important role in bone health and strong teeth because it contains calcium.

If it is fried in an air fryer instead of oil, it plays an important role in weight loss.


Cultural Importance of Fish Fry

Fish fry is not only considered a food in Pakistan but it is also a tradition. Recently, I invited some of my relatives who love fish very much to feed them fried fish and they loved it, describing its taste as amazing.
