GW loves the people who have 6 armies and always try to keep them optimised to win 😁
If you want to RP characters from the WH40K universe, have you looked at the Dark Heresy RPG ? Admittedly you get to start off with much lower level types than Space Marines ! I played one game a while ago, and it was fun (and bloody...).

Indeed. I liked looking at the Dark Heresy book. But... I don't have a group to do it with. I enjoy 40k, but some people have a narrow-minded viewpoint about the game.
