Reminds me of how I had heard of a few Nintendo Switch games that seemingly did cool stuff with the HD Rumble back on its first years...and then they stopped doing anything with it. Also brings to mind how there very few developers that made stuff for the Wii and Wii U that used the motion controls and gamepad screen in meaningful and comfortable ways.

It is sad to hear that the DS5's gamepad fell again to the "console gimmick" trap...Used at first by the main devs to market it, and then forgotten by them (and barely used by any third party devs) to the point that the feature (or more specifically, the price tag) eventually feels unjustified and unsatisfying for how little you can actually use it.

It's crazy how developers choose to go the basic route instead of taking the time to get really creative. Perhaps they see these features as a gimmick, but there are some players that actually care.
