RE: Let's Talk AI and AI on HIVE

I don't think this has really been an issue, I remember @castleberry has made posts for years about images he's creating using AI and explaining the worlflow and being curated and rewarded for it - by myself included.

It is very much about the deception part that you mentioned here. Over time with AI getting more complex and harder to tell - yes it's going to make our life as curators harder, especially for newcomers. There's going to have to be a layer of trust there along with benefit of the doubt but similar to some who may be running multiple accounts - eventually they'll make a mistake and get found out and lose their reputation and earning potential.

It feels like the longer you're active here the stronger you build your reputation and future earning potential - that's why it's so destructive and dumb to see someone and others defend and put it all on the line as we saw with recent events.

Well, I haven't seen his AI posts (If I have I can't remember) so I can't comment on that. Most I see from him are the HOTSHOTS. And I believe castleberry could be the exception to the rule here rather than the norm.

I haven't discovered any AI artists here, but that also could be due to them having better avenues than HIVE or me just not looking hard enough.

Yep, pretty much. Why would someone think that deceiving people and ruining years of cultivated reputation is a good idea is beyond me.

Yeah I just mean curators understand AI generation and the work behind it when you're trying to master it or create your vision, at least in images and art - it's not something new and those few who focus on that don't try and deceive anyone.

I don't think every curator do, nor every person on hive do and that segment were for the benefits of that don't. Because most people don't interact or see those complex workflows or that their impression of AI art have been tainted with the first image generator models and think that every image generation is done through a few simple prompts.

You certainly understand it, I have seen you use AI tools before and that segment was not really aimed at people that do understand it even though it was your post that prompted me to write this post. (Ba dum tss)

Yeah I get where you're coming from, things that take effort and are documented to portray what went into something deserve rewards. Similar like an artist showing their progress and workflow.
