One might think there would be more Wednesday Walks since the spring hit but I haven't posted on in 3 months....since it was dead of winter. Most of my day was spent not walking but I managed to hit the park for a slow photowalk.

Pretty sure is was our good friend @tattoodjay who started us Wednesday walking so long ago that it was on another blockchain.

Much better than snow after a long winter is a little rain. Great for the garden sprouts just planted and it turns the simple stuff into a wonderland when you look closely.

What would get me out walking in the rain like I was Gene Kelly? This guy of course. Such an enabler of fresh air and exercise. The joy he gets running and sniffing and wrasslin' in the dog park makes it an easy decision to head out for an hour.

I have taken over 100 pictures from this spot over the last couple years. Eventually, I will stop procrastinating and turn them into an animated gif of all seasons. Presently, the path is getting squeezed by the green of spring but always stays wide enough to walk though.

Birdhouse Tree is sporting an almost full head of hair despite it not even being June yet. The bird house has fallen down so you may wonder why I call it that. Now you know.

The path from the other side looks bright green even in the light rain. The wild grass loves the spongy ground here next to a small wetland. Great for a dog sprinting lane too.

The bark path is starting to grow in and looks like it is celebrating the light rain. This path actually closes in during the bushy summer so the is probably one of the last trips up here til November.

The path out of the forest shows no other people crazy enough to walk around in the rain and my lonely car off in the distance.

Without other dogs to provide the entertainment, I walked a little slower and looked a little closer. These little bloom was only an inch wide and the little flowers only a couple millimeters each. So Canadian to have the same thing measured in imperial and metric.

Even a mossy log looks like a forest when you peer close enough.

After a nice stroll like that, I prefer to dry off with a nice weird regional IPA. Thirsty work!
