Welcome to another episode of LOC. It wasn't going to be but I had a change of heart do to some things in the context that I felt need to be addressed that fit in with this niche.

Limiting your audience is not censorship, it's volume control.

Volume control. One mutes or turns down the volume of the noise you receive from let's say the television or radio. If it doesn't affect others that is, then I can see it to be just fine. If it's your telly. If it's your feed on your blog. If it's your website.

However, this volume control, to reduce the volume of another person rather and thus limiting what others could hear or read, is censorship, is tyrannic and is digital feudalism.

I see it fine if done to reduce spam and to keep your own feed to what you want to see. Other than that, when it comes to free speech rights, then by all means, stick your head in the sand if that's your thing, but keep the rest of our of it. I mean that in general.

However if done to control the feed of others, well that would be an act to censor. However it's also true that the other people can just use a different app where it doesn't effect them. On other social media sites however, web2 types usually, there isn't much you can do about it. Which is what I love about web3 and these Blockchains. We have a choose to be censored or not. Let's not forget that. Any given day, a new front end can be brought to light that doesn't let individual users to control what others get to see. (Nudge: it already exists)

For people like me, a 'muted' post is just like a 'click me' sign...

Since you seem to promote the philosophy of anarchy, I can see where the idea of any governance, even self governance, would be abhorrent to you. I feel the same way.

Dear reader. Self governance is what anarchy promotes. Thank you very much. Not to confuse self governance with consent to be governed. Not the same thing.

What is abhorrent though, is to be ruled. You're the only one most capable to rule your own life. When you can do that, and it's done for you either way, that's tyranny.

It's a big stretch to think that there is such a thing as "voluntary governance" IF it's talking about consent to be governed.

Let's keep it straight here, we're talking about impediment of rights of every individual sovereign born into this universe. How they are done. Why it is wrong. How it is impossible to make something wrong right and what is tight wrong. As I demonstrate it on every post almost.

The jip of it. There is no such thing as consent of the governed. If governed then it's not voluntary. Henceforth there is voluntary governance. There is no such thing as government. Just glorified global cartels.

You're free to tell people here what they should or shouldn't want, but you really can't expect people to want to hear it.

I don't expect others to want. But if they want to they can. I'm not here to tell others how to rule themselves. I will point, however, the flaws in their own ruling and in hope, that they will do so with me. Again, dissent is welcomed by because it can cause movements.

I'm not a fan of collectivism when it turns harmful to others which is the case with statism. As you say it is a consensus to how things are ruled on hive. The consensus is the collective idea, the collective is formed by the individuals. As individuales, we each can have our own ideas, and to not give dissent? Well, where would be today if no individuals voiced out something on the contrary to the collective?

We'd end up with echo chambers.

That's a pretty steep claim from a guy who read one post and now knows a thing or two about me. Very untrue.

My prime reason is not to garner rewards. Anyone can go back and read or even just see most of my posts are and that they are, majority, being either burned or with beneficiary to commentrewarder, which I just discontinued. What I have earned here is little and have paid for most of my own stake out of pocket.

Votes are voluntarily done. Nobody is compelled to vote. Though greatly appreciated.

Is it concerning dear reader that new ideas such as those in Blockchain governance, won't be greatly influenced by the belief in authority? No court order is needed, just threats, coercion and rule by force. Indeed, it's ALL t.h.e.y. EVER had.

Court orders require one thing for it to be legitimate. Jurisdiction/authority. Which doesn't exist. Not because of my say so. Or his or hers say so. No.

Authority is the moral and ethical right to rule over another human being. Basically to own slaves and be slaves as something good and legitimately correct. It's not. You and I and every child out there knows it's wrong. Very wrong. But that is what citizenship is. Slavery.

It is by its very own definition a slave. It's why it was created in the constitution. But let's not call them slaves. Call them servants of the State.
