What do you do when markets fall .jpg

When the crypto markets are falling, we are often confronted with feelings of fear or even panic. We see the value of our assets losing value. We don't react all the same in such situations. What do you do ?

In the context of falling markets, what do you do? Do you go on with business as usual? Do you reallocate your assets? How do you manage your emotions?

Please leave your answer as a comment below this post.

It's great not to be affected too much and continue with business as usual but I know that for many people it's difficult to deal with it.

It's a great time to check if you have too much of an asset. If a crash happens and you start to get anxious it means you'll need to downsize it in the next up market.

Stay calm and patient, coz when it's falling it's hustle and impulsiveness are not the best helpers and you can loose more at this phase.

That's true, markets don't go down in one single line and we always should take the time to reflect and make objective decisions.

I continue at my usual pace. Sometimes it's difficult to stay calm and avoid getting caught up in the general anxiety, but I try to see it for what it is: something I can't control. It helps to focus on what I have around me that is truly important: health, family, friends, or simply the fact that the sun is shining.

That's totally true and it can drive us crazy when we put too much attention to it...

These days, I just go with my day as usual. If I have spare funds, I try to add a bit :)

Most of the time I do nothing. If I feel brave then I will buy more if the fundamentals haven't changed. Hehe.

Generally I just ignore it. I may read a bit more about why people think the market is correcting to see if anything surprises me. At some point I will start to DCA into positions that I feel are over sold and worth more than their current value. But mostly I ignore it.

Depends. If I am on cash (as I partially am now), I want it to go lower so I can buy cheaper. If I didn't sell at the right time(s), I guess I'm riding it down and then back up again.

When prices drop I buy some more of major assets if I have free fiat. Usually have and do.

Last season I was stacking BTC — and in the end it totally lived up to my expectations. 😄
But the amount was small.

Right now I’m just waiting and thinking about what to buy this time. 🤔

In times of falling markets, I try to stay calm and avoid making impulsive decisions.
I go about my usual activities and analyze the situation carefully before acting.
Sometimes I reconsider the allocation of my assets, but I always try to base myself on a long term strategy.
To manage emotions, it helps me to disconnect a bit and remember that markets are cyclical.

I'm in the phase of learning about crypto. That's the mechanics, not as an investment channel. As such, my reaction is to reaffirm my belief that crypto is not a suitable investment for me. And I carry on playing regardless 😁

DCA is the answer to that... buy a bit here and a bit there so that you get a cheap entry price.

As far as HBD is concerned, for me it is "business as usual." (Anybody worried about the haircut can check the state of play here: https://hbdstats.com/ - it doesn't look too bad!) As for the Hive second tier, I am converting daily earnings into LTC to pay down my crypto loan so that the collateral-to-loan ratio stays in the green. I'm thinking about reallocating by cashing out some 2nd tier assets to pay off the loan completely and borrow again against BTC to reinvest back into Hive tokens from a position of a relatively low BTC price.

Diversification is key

I like to be diversified but for me it means rather to have things outside of crypto. Most crypto markets seem strongly correlated nowadays...
