Today I want to share the experience of my cable car ride to Matterhorn Glacier Paradise from Zermatt. Matterhorn Glacier Paradise is located on the Klein Matterhorn, a mountain peak in the Pennine Alps. It is the highest cable car station in Europe which is at a elevation of 3,883 meters (12,740 feet) above sea level. There are 2 ways to reach this place, one is by trekking, which would take a long time and except for some very adventurous people no one actually tries that path, especially when on a holiday. The other is by the cable car. There are 2 stations on the way where you need to change the cable car and get into a new one.

Furi is the starting station of the first cable car ride. From Zermatt market place, there is a bus that comes to Furi, or can walk it up, which would be around a 20 minutes walk. With the scenic views around, it's not a bad choice to walk it up. We took the bus as we were already running late so we did not have much time to spare for the walk.

As always I am very excited with these things so do not miss to take photographs at every step. Here is our first cable car ride which would go up from Furi to Schwarzsee station, where we had to change the cable car.

Our ride has begun, me and hubby both were very excited for this trip.

From Schwarzsee then we changed the next cable car at Trockener Steg. Till Trockener Steg the cable cars were small and took individual families, but from Trockener Steg to Matterhorn Glacier Paradise it was one big cable car, where everyone had to travel together.
