#ThoughtfulDailyPost - Falling Down, a Dog's Life for Us

zekethoughtsmusic.jpg

Back again this week between summer trips with #ThoughtfulDailyPost! As always, @Wesphilbin waves the flag for us and runs @thoughtfulposts as the curation account that rewards thoughtful posts. Please share your positive vibes on the blockchain and consider delegating.

I have come to enjoy pausing to process, then share in conversation with #hive community members. Consciously curated music to go with each!

I must admit this one caught my attention because of John Wick https://www.imdb.com/title/tt2911666/ . I suspect Instagram user @jokermotivationofficial's only claim to this one may be the insertion of the word FUCKING but there you have it.

Falling down and failing sounds so harsh doesn't it? Seems the world is so tough when you put yourself out there and failing would put you back farther than where you started. Falling down....waitasec! WHO CARES? Failing is probably the most important part of learning so fall plenty. Just don't stay there.

Sometimes, I see people who have fallen down or failed and are wallowing in it. I can see the value in staying down for a bit to catch a breather and drink in a little perspective for the motivation bank later on. Kinda like a fighter taking the whole standing 8 count to regroup. For fighters though, staying down is usually not a choice as they are able to get back up or not. Perhaps staying down to preserve health and fight another day.

For us, sure we are fighting battles and falling down if we are in it for progress. Staying down is not the choice I would recommend. Get back up with your lessons learned and decide what to do with that wisdom. Rather than wallowing in self pity has diminishing returns for me and spending time laying blame rather than getting up seems like such a waste of time for me personally.

Getting up may not be easy or pleasant but it is a choice most of us have. So, let us get back up and invest time helping others do the same to get back into the game that much stronger.

Here is a slice of the 90s with a little falling to pieces by Velvet Revolver, a supergroup from the early 2000s.

A Dog's Life for Us

A search for the origin of this one is pointing me many ways including https://americasbestpics.com/user/Suz1esAn1malKrackers and https://americasbestpics.com/user/sadgroups4 Perhaps public sentiment and worth sharing.

I don't think every day is the best ever for every dog but you can imagine that is wat they think! Of boy here comes the food again! Is she getting the leash? I love sharing this bed with my human. Did he say "walk"? SQUIRREL! nothing else matters when these moments take over for a dog it seems. Well why shouldn't it be the best day ever?

What would happen if we all celebrated each day like we were blessed with an off-leash trip to the park to celebrate our freedom? What if we relished the tantalizing unknowns in the bushes that are just waiting to be flushed out and pounced upon? What if we were so thrilled at the coming opportunity to meet new people and the prospect at playing with a new friend? What if an undeniable grin painted our faces and we frolicked and ran around freely rather than just planning our next task, chore or destination? I would imagine it has a better chance of becoming the best day ever for each of us.

Perhaps we should live with the mentality of a happy puppy more often and see how that works!

Speaking of dogs, here is Temple of the Dog with an alternative mix of one of their greatest songs. Supergroup from the 90s I hope everyone has discovered.

@zekepickleman...

You gotta crawl, before you can walk, right? But it is important to remember that crawling isn't bad... So long as you know why you are! If it's because of a bad thing... then make that bad thing good! Now... if you are crawling because you are exploring a cave all Indiana Jones style? Then by all means, carry on! 😁

Velvet Revolver and Temple Of The Dog... two bands, with two phenomenal musicians, humans, and dear souls... both gone too soon. Certainly a thoughtful post brother... thanks as always for spreading your awesomesauce... Oh... also:

Chiming in with your energy here...

Happy to have this wonderful avenue to be thoughtful and this great community to share it with my friend.

Blessings even while crawling!

You are right; however, as a puppy or us get older the troubles of life increase.

Happens to all of us. Knowledge and control are a heavy mantle. We can still choose to have fun and make every day the best ever.

Yah man. Every damn day when I take him to dogwars.

We should just choose joy a little more like our dogs.

I myself have seen many such people in my life who once lost completely ruined their life and stopped working hard and could not progress at all in the life to come.

Me too. Dropouts on the sidelines complaining loudly about the game they are only pretending to play. Some are too scared to lose and I get that. Others cannot be honest with themselves and must find an evil to blame for the struggles they feel entitled not to have.

I am learning more than I am winning but they are both virtuous and fulfilling.

Such people can never succeed who do not work hard on themselves and blame others.

I didn't know dogs thought this way, but I also think that my life can get worse every day, so I try my best to make the day I live a good one.

Absolutely. Some feel better or worse is just something that happens and beyond their control. True to a point but we are a sun of our decisions and our attitude and actions are all we can control. Makes it much better to do that when we have already started tackling the day as the best one ever.
