Sublime Sunday - Get Outside!

Sometimes, Sunday is the basket you catch all the procrastinated chores for the week. So, this is my #SublimeSunday (inspired by @c0ff33a) and #BeautifulSunday (initiated by @ace108) post to share how my week ended
To end this week, This week, I take a little drive in town and get to some yard work.

What a Day!
It was a perfect day to stop and take a look around. The seasons are in transition with cool windy rain as much as anything else, so I really enjoyed another day of blue skies and warm sun. Trees are without their leaves for the most part but there are a few which are resilient to the cold and are bravely holding on to theirs.
I stopped into the museum to make a delivery for a family member and thought a little history on a #sublimesunday post would be alright.
Not too much going on in this neck of the woods except trains, Thomas Edison, and Justin Bieber. You might have heard of him and I live in his hometown. Or is it the other way around? Nah.
As riveting as it gets is the Tim Horton's display where they shill leftover merch from the marketing campaign when they had him design custom branded timbits. AKA Donut holes in more civilized parts of the world. The mannequin is not creepy at all!

Bring On Christmas
Some people are suffering an extended Halloween hangover while other people are jumping right into the next season. These snowy fellows showed up well before the first snowfall and even brought a few big flakes of their own.
These guys put out the spread every season, even the lesser ones. We wager there are 10 large boxes in the garage with lights and inflatables which is why they have to park the truck outside.

Raking Time
I hate raking. Well, I hate raking multiple times so I left it long enough so that most of the leaves have fallen. I also like to leave some of them on the grass over the winter so that insects can survive in them and they break down into the nutrients. This is a little extreme though and as much as I would enjoy leaving them there so that they eventually blow into the neighbour's yard, I gotta tidy up a bit.
These happy piles ended up being bigger than I thought they were going to be and were threatening to not fit in the 2 bags I brought with me.
I like to pack the living shit out of the leaves to save on bags mostly. Plus, I think the fat round one on the left is pretty funny looking. Not what they recommend.
Apparently, you are supposed to stop at the line a few inches from the top of the bag so that you can roll it down and crumple it closed.
I packed it back down to the line and it actually worked quite well. Still not full enough for me so I uncrumpled and started stuffing.
In the end, I managed to pack those 2 huge piles in 3 bags. Surely voiding any warranty they or intended design stipulations. That's how I roll, or rake.
I have surveillance installed on premises so no need to worry about rabbits sneaking up on you.

After all of that hard thirsty labour, I had a hankering for some beer. I am all about the gift packs and found one that might intrigue @leaky20. If you haven't yet, you can visit his latest #beersaturday blog here. I might just have a review next Saturday.

One more drive to drink in the last of the sun's light as I captured the sunset at great peril to myself and the fellow driving behind me. The lengths I will go to capture the perfect moment for legions of followers!
Plenty of work done and even fit in an afternoon nap for a prototypical #beautifulsunday.

Your surveillance is the best and cutest security system there is 😁😄
Haha yah.
He hurt his foot a little so it is 5 days since he last played in the park. Going a little nuts but is a good supervisor.
Looks like the weather is not that sunny
About as sunny as it gets for mid fall in this part of Canada.

A little frosty today though!
I wish they had a blow up dead Indian I could buy for Thanksgiving.
They're called leaves for a reason. Leave them there.
2½. Fuck the neighbor.
You must be killin' it out here!
@davedickeyyall just slapped you with 1.000 PIMP, @zekepickleman.
You earned 1.000 PIMP for the strong hand.
They're getting a workout and slapped 1/2 possible people today.
Read about some PIMP Shit or Look for the PIMP District
All true. Good news is there are plenty of leaves yet to fall and there is not much of a chance I will take again. My fuckin grumpy old boomer of a neighbour has a leaf vacuum to keep his lawn spotless so it must drive him nuts to see them all blow from my lawn onto his!
All the more reason to leave them.. maybe even set up a fan to help Mother Nature

That beer gift box definitely looks enticing to me. You nailed it for my tastes 😋
Yah! I passed right by it and then put it in reverse when I remembered you had the O’haras stout on your #beersaturday post this week. Should be some good tasting for next sat!
Quite a bit different than the IPAs test you normally go for but hopefully you enjoy it. Cheers 🍻
A lot of people are already planning their Christmas celebrations and that’s cool
The museum you went to looks beautiful too
It will be a nice place to visit
I love your Sunday adventures! It's always so interesting to see what you get up to. I'm glad you had a chance to get some yard work done and enjoy the beautiful weather. It sounds like you were super productive. I hope you enjoyed your nap and your beer.
It seemed like I managed to lay low AND get stuff done! Sublime indeed!
I think some people want to get ready for Christmas already. The gardens are already being decorated.
Raking is boring, man. It's like picking peas out of the bottom of a pot with a fork 😂
Absolutely. I just did a cursory job and then shredded what was left with the lawn mower. ;)
Such a beautiful weather makes Sunday a very good day. Seeing such beautiful things, seeing the sky, seeing the clouds, I also went inside a beautiful village on Sunday.
