Strangest Birth Method Ever ?!?! 🐸

Ok, this is something totally weird and crazy I stumbled upon today.

Let's first start with the same video that introduced me to this thing:

Chances are that much like me you are thinking...what the fuck 😅😂

So, let's take everything from the start.

The frog depicted in the video above is a Suriname toad also known as the star-fingered toad. Their scientific name is Pipa pipa and is native to tropical South America and the island of Trinidad.

These frogs are best known for their "backs" which pretty much act as a nursery f. After the whole sex thing is done and everything, the fertilized eggs are deposited firmly on the female back and sink in the skin.

The eggs mature until the tiny tadpoles emerge... However, they remain in the skin of the mother for a while and they continue to grow until they become "real" frogs.

Eventually, after 12 to 20 weeks the young toads get big enough and leave their mothers back and take separate roads.

Once all frogs are "born" the mother sheds sheds the thin layer of skin used for birth and is ready for the process again.

Crazy right? 😅😂

I just watched it and you're making me like being human 🤣 just, imagine you're chilling minding your damn business and suddenly, baby frogs start popping out of your back like some horror movie. That poor mama frog must have the weirdest back massages ever 🤣🤣
