The Common Land Card....Too pricey...?
The bonuses on many of the land cards are pretty generous, but you need to have a serious stack of cards on any plot you plan to use them on for them to worth it, compared to just buying another plot and just stacking that with more cards....
Take my own example as a mere tract owner with only $8K worth of cards and just > 1M PP currently staked to LAND, these land cards are simply NOT worth it from a pure BOOST perspective....
Case study... max common LAND card....

Lets look at how this would change things on one of my BETTER plots, not the best, but certainly top 10 stacked plots...
My Epic Grain Plot with 37 290 Base PP....
Currently....

Replace the Contessa Lamont with maxed land card....
(NB that's the same PP!)
If I were to swap out the Contessa Lamont for a maxed water LAND card then my base PP would go up to 50 850 ..
- So that's an increase of 13560 PP (boosted)
- Then rationing saves me 30% on the grain - base PP on that plot remains at 22600PP, 30% of that is 6780 PP.
- That's 20 340 PP.
- NB the energised and Dark Discounts are harder to factor in, but that's say 30K DEC additional saved!
How much would that PP cost me to buy elsewhere?
- I can get one Zenith Monk for around 18K Dec, or $16 ATM, that's 4KPP, times 4 that = $64, call it $65.
- Then add on another land plot cost = $10
- and then factor in rationing which increases efficiency by 30% if it's maxed - that's roughly 12K PP I don't need to grow that grain. So that's around another £24.
- Minus 30K DEC for the Dark Discount and Energised...
= COSTS to get these boosts otherwise = around $130
So then that's $70 for a Labours Luck dice roll!\
If chances are anything like totem frag chances, I probably won't be getting anything! I mean your chances are based on PP staked, and so those players with 100K per plot are obvs going to win more of those cards, which brings me to my conclusion that these LAND cards are
Worth it for HUGE PLAYERS...
I mean if you had say 100K PP on a plot, then a 60% boost would be worth 60K PP. That would cost you just over $200 in gold rares to make up, so the cut of point for value is 100K PP staked to one plot.
You'd have to factor in rationing too of course.
I estimated the break-even/ free Labours luck point is around 80K boosted PP on a plot.
Final thoughts..
I may have my math wrong, I hope so!
I used the prices on the post above, it may actually cost LESS to mint this card if SL resource prices are down?
But then they're probably not, it's gonna be worth stacking resources to mint and then seeing whether you can just sell into this - feed that whale demand. I mean there is going to be some demand for maxed cards, it's worth punting on the Dice roll if you've got a 100K PP on a plot.
But for this mid-ranged player this is simply another set of SL resources that are just too expensive, I am simply not prepared to pay this much to play a game.
But thanks for the financial opportunity!
Good analysis, that was my first impression as well, I mentioned it in the Discord chat, I don't think maxed are for middle, small players at all, even I'd say that they're counterproductive.
As always the team favours huge accounts, not even mid/large, this is one of the reasons why we have few players and newbies, if all the benefits are driven to the top then one should wonder why any newbie or small account would want to stick in the game.
I'm personally not convinced by favouring the top... but that's what we've got - I've done fairly well in the middle skimming so I can't really complain.
NB L4-5 commons might work on a mid level plot with around 30K PP
Nicely researched! I'll probably try to get my hands on a few bcx of the common card, but still very unsure how much will I invest.
It's another interesting opportunity at least!
For sure!
