Splinterland Strategies.... Playing Equalizer...

Equalizer is one of my fave rulesets in which every monster gains the same max health as the monster with the highest health.

I usually win these battles and I think this is because I tend to get my strategy correct, there are a few key things to keep in mind....

1. Select low health monsters and let your opponent (hopefully) boost your health. Generally low health means higher other stats for the mana!
2. Heal and triage - work more effectively with higher health.
3. Scavenge and Life Leach will have more time to work.... think longer battles.
4. Affliction, and cleanse to counter.
5. Strengthen, for that extra relative boost!

Personally I think the resurrects are not worth it, you've got so much health already!
Also avoid scattershot, with high health this tends to just get watered down!

Battle exemplar

This battle is a great example of me doing most things correct for this ruleset, but also my opponent doing a lot wrong....

The ruleset and lineup

• Silenced summoners
• Corrosive Ward
• Equalizer
• 26 amana

1. Bajikeera - too high health for my liking but a decent mid mana tank
2. Darg - weapons training
3. Mershalli Guardian - tank heal
4. Torrent Fiend - 0 mana soak
5. Igor - decent 2 mana attack card
6. Blight - scavenge and affliction.

The battle

• Rounds 1 and 2 - we trade blows for no loss
• Round 3 - I take out my opponent's Bajikeera, it gets resurrected, I take it out again.
• Round 4 - we trade blows for no loss
• Round 5 - I take out my opponent's Tide Biter.
• Round 6 - I take out Ureas
• Round 8 - I take out Hellondale
• Round 9 - I take out the Pelacor Bandit
• Round 11 - It's all over!

Equalizer final battle analysis....

My opponent made the dual mistakes of playing sneak and resurrect, anything other than a full frontal attack gets diluted too much with high health, and there's no point resurrecting a card back to 1 health when they start at 16 as standard!

Meanwhile my healing and especially triage helped keep me alive.

Another equalizer victory for me!!!!
