Hopeful...

She bawled her eyes out in the morning for something that was beyond her control. Perhaps her cup was full, and she wanted to spill some over, so the tears flowed freely. Life seems to be continually testing her resolve, but she ain't giving up, not just yet, not ever, or who knows. For now, she has to make peace with what is and continue to live with love, laughter, adventure, hope, and such.

But yes, it's tough when something you have been working on, waiting, praying, and hoping for years doesn't happen. It makes you think things you'd rather not, and before you know it, you'd be asking "Why," which you would be trying to answer yourself. And if you aren't cautious and put a halt to it, you'd easily be thrown into a pity party and drown even more in sorrow, regret, anguish, and whatnots.

Thankfully, a pair of warm, comforting arms stopped her from going far into the dark pit of unhappiness. Then she got reminded of something she read from Megan Smalley many moons ago, where she said, "There is purpose in your season of waiting."

Perhaps. As to what it is for her, she'd have to learn or discover it as she moves forward. The thought alone fired her hopes up. Her journey continues, and she vowed to enjoy it, even when it means taking a detour, having stopovers, shifting gears faster or slower, or putting on the brakes for a while. She won't force it, she won't rush it.

Meanwhile, she's thankful that her old man has gotten well and is out of the hospital a little while ago. He will have a day or two to rest before the trip to the city for further procedures. She's hopeful for better things and tomorrows, but will surely make the most of today.

Life is the combination of happiness, pain, struggle and so many things and we need to go through it and we move forward for a better future and we try to be optimistic about the future. That's life.

Indeed, Inti. Without those, life might be monotonous or something like that.

Why is what everyone asks to himself when crap happens... I guess with technology, medicines and such, we last too long than our bodies are projected for...

I couldn't agree more. It's one that probably most of us ask once in a while. Today's tech seems to have made things better, but also has its cons.

Truth sis. And yes, we have to focus on the brighter side of things. We'd be happier and more grateful that way💖
