Caught on the Blue Rubber Basin

Magandang buhay!

It's Monday and we finally had sunshine in the morning, yay! What a great start to the new week! It's very welcoming after days of colder temperatures and rain. So, we took advantage of it and drove out to the next town to my father-in-law's place (we often go to him, once or twice a week), and to run some errands as well.

And just when we were arriving, the rain poured, yikes! (LOL!)

Well, after the chit-chat over lemon grass tea (I don't really like it as it is harsh to my stomach, but the aroma was nice), I went out to the porch (of my sister-in-law's newly constructed house) to enjoy the pitter-patter of the raindrops when I noticed the reflection of the citrus tree on the accumulated rainwater on the large rubber blue basin.

They do not have running water, so they usually have drums and basins outside to collect rainwater for cleaning and flushing.

Anyway, more reflections appeared when I stooped a bit - the rim of a blue drum, the edge of the beam, and the citrus trees (the shorter ones looked as if they were shrubs).

I wanted to take various angles or shots and include more in the reflection, but my attempts turned out in vain, as my phone camera seemed to have been fed up; it couldn't take any better than these, lol!

Oh well, I'm still glad to have gotten a few "okay" ones. And let me end this with one more, from a recorded video. It took me a while to resize the clip so it could be uploaded here. I like the little ripples created by the raindrops. It's kinda therapeutic.

This is my contribution (participation) in Round 227 of the Show Me A Reflection initiative by Olgavita and friends. Thank you and have a fabulous new day. Until our next hunt 😉

Man I love rain water for the garden and my dog to splash in & drink.

It is the simple things with a little reflection from across the globe that makes hive special.

Rain is a blessing, although it can be challenging when it lasts for days and nights.

I can't imagine living without water connection at home! Would be like without electricity

Lemon grass tea has teine? teine promotes more acid production

It can be challenging to live without running water in a home.

I'm not sure about the contents of lemon grass tea, as they are grass-like, and people would have to boil a bundle of them to make tea.

Hope the lemon tea didn't disturb you this time. The reflection of the citrus tree looks lovely

The reflection of water from the lemon grass, we need to take a picture correctly, when I saw the picture and the video it's kind of a activity that you make

We can’t actually do without water. Some houses do not have running water and I always wonder how they cope with such but I’m grateful for life

You're absolutely right about that. People only learn about the importance of something when it's gone. Thankfully, water is still abundant in most places.

I have noticed this type of reflection many times, but I don't know why the idea of capturing those in a picture never crossed my mind. In your case, you are the opposite.
Those pictures seem good.

Well, if you aren't interested in something, you wouldn't do anything even when it comes to your attention many times.
