I hope that in the future we reach a point when these things are studied so carefully, most people are able to apply skepticism. It has to happen if we are to survive as a species. Transgender mice? Wtf?

A couple of days ago, our president Donald J Trump, was reading off the prompter addressing the nation. There's a rumor going about for years now that he's not a good reader, and honestly everything points in that direction, but let's leave that aside for now.
In his demagoguery, he informs us the plebs of how many "amazing" and "unbelievable" things his administration is achieving, and how DOGE is doing such a great job. While we are on that topic, and just for a second: Where are the arrests? So many scammers milking the system and no arrests? weird.
Anyways, he seems to be tackling bullet points, and he reaches the mice line.

He reads it, and because he's a hostage to his own words, to his ego, he simply doubles down. I'm sure it didn't make much sense to him, I'm sure he took a second read, I think I can perceive him doing so in the video. But, it's too late... Gay mice it is.
What was on there?
The cutting of the funding for transgenic mice. Again, TRANSGENIC, not TRANSGENDER. I can see how you would confuse the too, since they've made trans folks the pariah.
The saddest part in this whole thing, at least to me, is that the right wing "influencers" doubled down on it, and even created a fake website to prove that Trump didn't screw the pooch reading the teleprompter. Yes, that's how petty they are.
Like they don't know we can lookup the information ourselves. Well, we've always been able to, but they are counting on people not doing so.

Trump is cunning, but not that bright really. It's pretty obvious whenever she(!) talks. I believe what I see him do, but not always what he says as he makes it up. His team must panic several times each day as they have to back up whatever Madam Prez came out with. I know I'm mixing genders, but it seems they don't matter.

I do know that today, there's trans vigilantes, which is hilarious to me. It's more of an admission. And hey, I'm not kink shaming, love is love, but they are just in denial of what they like.
An example case.
These people will say it's about protecting 'thuh kids'. If they really want to protect kids then they would ensure they get protected against disease, get a decent diet and a decent education whilst not worrying about being shot at school. Transgender people are a tiny minority who may go through hell just trying to live a life that could make them happier. They suffer a massive suicide rate compared to the rest of us and probably commit far less sex crimes than priests. It's all about targeting minority groups to distract from the shit that is going on.
