Some Thoughts on Valentines Day

Valentines Day today.
Do you actually believe this stuff?

I do not want to sound pessimistic but I will agree that all those holidays have been invented so that a boost is given to the shops. Candy, flower, jewellery and a lot of other items are given away as gifts right on this day.

Most restaurants are full of happy couples celebrating their love.

But is it fair? To ourself or to our partner?

I mean, are you happy to be remembered?
I am. Or I would be. If I was remembered :)

I was trying to remember a Valentines Day that I felt loved. It was not easy.

I think that people need the love.
They(We) need the respect and to know we are valued.

It is better if we show our affection throughout the year. But on this day, maybe a small gesture is also fine.

This does not mean that we are part of the system, this means giving some extra time to the one we love.

Remember to not forget your partner and your loved one(s)

A flower, a kiss, a small gift can make someone very very happy!

And what usually remains from the people around us, may not be the gestures per se, but the way they make us feel..
