Wanna score some hive tokens?

Here's the deal: Years ago, at this point, I began writing a story about a failed musician (I know, I know) who goes back to his home town feeling completely broken and depressed.

The story, which became a novel really, turned quite dark and for the longest time I could not find a fitting ending to it. So, it sat in my google drive sleeping, waiting for inspiration to slap me across the face.

As it often happens with new year resolutions, I said to myself I would finish projects this year, not start new ones. And so, I did.

With the aid of modern tools, I was able to correct the grammar and proof read the short story, enough to feel comfortable in releasing it to the world.

I created an account on Amazon, and released what I hope will be my first book on Kindle.

The Direct Link to the Amazon Copy is officially available for download right now.

You said hive tokens?

I figured I could spend some money in ads, attempting to get the ball rolling with the book. It's an option and one that I might try. But, I figured I could try to run a small initiative on Hive and do the same.

If you purchase Hunting the Monster and leave a review. All you need to do is past a screenshot of your review here, and I will send you 3 Hive tokens to your account.

As you would imagine, I began setting some tokens aside for this little initiative, but I suspect there won't be that many takers here--Since a lot of hivers hate Amazon, but that's a whole separate issue.

That being said, as much as I'm doubting myself writing this out, I figured there's no harm in trying. Lot's of people with Prime accounts have unused book credits, and thus they would be basically trading an unused credit for three hive tokens. Not a bad deal if you ask me.

Hope everyone is having a nice Saturday.

MenO

Well done on getting your book out. I'm not much of an Amazon fan, especially now Bezos is bending the knee to the orange idiot, but I have bought a few print on demand books by Hive people from there. I may give yours a read when I find time. I have a big stack of books to get through :)

Neat idea, but I prefer to protect my pseudo-anonymity, and like you said, I largely avoid Amazon nowadays if I can help it.

Most hiveans are... I'm not anonymous, but then again, that might be to my own detriment!

ha!

You claim some people are "beyond hope" and that you’re not wasting any more time on us. Yet here your good friend @jacobtothe continues to downvote the truth instead of addressing the systemic abuse we’ve exposed. If you truly cared about making Hive better, you’d stop enabling corruption and start working toward solutions—instead of adding to the problem by silencing dissent.

Let’s be clear: we wonder what drives you. You say you care about Hive, but your actions tell a different story. Instead of fixing the issues we’ve brought to light—like scam farms, coordinated downvotes, and unethical practices—you turn a blind eye and suppress those who speak out. Downvoting the truth doesn’t erase it; it only highlights your inability to confront uncomfortable realities.

It’s telling that Blocktrades has so much to lose if Hive collapses—and even more telling that your friends have openly joked about being the last ones to “turn off the lights” if it all goes south. These statements reveal far more than you realize. The connections between accounts like @themarkymark, BuildaWhale, Blocktrades, and Alpha aren’t just speculation—they’re becoming increasingly obvious to anyone paying attention.

At Bilpcoin, our mission is simple: to expose corruption and fight for accountability. What do you really contribute besides chatting with your old friends and obsessing over young women online? Your priorities seem misplaced when compared to the urgent need for reform on Hive.

We’ve asked you repeatedly to reflect on your actions because this fight is bigger than you think. Every downvote you cast against the truth only adds fuel to the fire, further eroding trust in the ecosystem. Transactions don’t lie, and neither do we. The evidence is there for anyone willing to see it—but will you finally open your eyes, or will you continue clinging to denial?

Sincerely,
The Bilpcoin Team

That’s awesome, Meno. Finishing a book is no joke. That Google Drive graveyard is real, I'm sure I've got half finished ideas just chilling there too. Hope the Hive promo works out, it's a very creative way to get more readers
