Open Source Software Institutions are Being Captured by the UN, Just Like Crypto is by Banks
I thought to pass this information on to folks here, because many of us are staunch advocates of the principles of Open Source. James Corbett of the Corbett Report has published this report, which details how many open source institutions have signed on to the UN Open Source Principles, which discussion begins at ~25 minutes. The first discussion regards crypto, which I assume many here on Hive will also be interested in.
Corbett points out that these institutions aren't open source itself, as a principle, but represent specific softwares, such as are mentioned in the report. The principle of Open Source isn't defined by the UN, nor by any of these softwares, and insofar as they stray from actual sound principles, new software and institutions will arise. This will take time, however, and reduce adoption due to folks seeing these most popular (and formerly actual open source projects) presenting some of the same problems that arise from proprietary software and institutions. It will affect me because I have adopted Linux, and several of the softwares and organization involved in this UN project.
Eternal vigilance is the price of freedom.
Staying vigilant since 5am.
That's how good men roll.
Dear @valued-customer !
In the world I live in, using Linux is very difficult!
Digital ID System
you live in South Korea bro?
Please don't ask. There are surveillance mechanisms that create risk of harm to folks in certain jurisdictions. Places like Iran, N. Korea (any Korea), China and many, many more, like the EU and UK today, actively seek out dissidents for oppression.
i can feelz it
Dear @jin-out !
I am glad meet to you!
Are you chinese?
I am an eastasian!
As @valued-customer claims, I am in no position to reveal my location!
Thank you!
Hey Gold!
Sorry for the late response and it's a shame i no longer support the hive blockchain (i've moved over to a Hive-Fork called Blurt). But i often come back here on hive to read @valued-customer 's posts, and a few others i can count on one thumb.
Yes, my roots are from Hong Kong (new Terroritories...the man-made island outside of Old Hong Kong) but i was born and raised in England.
I have travelled many years in Asia in my youth but have never been to Thailand, or Vietnam or Cambodia sides.
No need to reveal your location my friend. We can still be friends!
Dear @jin-out !
I am glad meet to you!
I remember that prehistoric Hong Kong people crossed the Korean Peninsula and Japan by sea and became part of the current Japanese and Korean people!
So, I love Hong Kong culture and movies!
I remember Hong Kong people hating the Communist Party in Beijing!
I don't know about Hive-Fork called Blurt. I hope you can help me a lot since you speak English well!
Thank you!
We still hate the CCP, fuck em all to hell. We Hong Kongers, even though my people are afraid to say it now, but we deep down despise the CCP. Many Hong Kongers have moved out of HK now, because it's becoming too communistic.

There are many Koreans who were users of the hive blockchain and have moved over to blurt.blog...in fact i am very surprised by how many Koreans are on Blurt.
Blurt is really good. It was created 5 years ago when the founders of Blurt and the witnesses decided they have had enough with the hive-watchers (big whales on hive) using the downvote function as a way to censor people here on hive, and also what they are doing behind the scenes to make themselves richer and the rest of the hive users poorer (evidence is in my last post on hive, i pin it on my profile).
Blurt is a really good place to be:
Better earnings (unlike on hive, there is a lot of price misinformation, price manipulation...so what you see on hive is not what you receive in rewards...especially if you are targeted by the hive-watcher corruption like i am)
better community with real user engagement...there are many great ethnic communities here on Blurt...Koreans, Africans, Europeans, East Asian, Indians, Americans, Spanish...it's very active here though it's a small blockchain.
Easy to make friends...everyone is nice here on Blurt
No downvote function or any censorship mechanism like on hive...true freedom of speech!
Excellent earning potential, since Blurt shares the same hive-engine as Hive...a lot of us on Blurt earn very excellently from our blogs or videos, because know the secrets of using the hive-engine too! :D (do you want to learn? I can show you)
Blurt Media is the video department of the blurt blockchain...a very good place to watch videos, as it uses something called Peertube. Much better than 3speak. Much much better!
Would be nice to have you over on the Blurt blockchain my friend.
If you know how to make a hive account, you can make a Blurt account as it's the same.
Let me know if you're interested!
@goldgrifin007 To make a Blurt account:
If you do make an account, later on i will show you how to make more earnings with Blurt, using the hive-engine, which means you can also do the same for hive.
Imagine one blog post, on two blockchains that share the same hive-engine...3x earnings.
You will find me active on blurt.media https://blurt.media/my-library/video-channels and on my main channel, if you watch my Blockchain Hustle videos, i show people i make my money on Blurt and other projects like cryptocurrency faucet, for free bitcoin etc.
Shh no tell CCP!!!!
Dear @jin-out !
I will read your suggestion positively since I am not good at reading English!
This is because you are dependent on overlords. When you yourself create the goods and services that create the blessings of civilization, such as free speech, security, nutritious food, and means of economic exchange, such impediments to your felicity can be ignored.
Dependence is slavery. Independence is freedom, and the best definition of wealth is independent means.
Thanks!

Dear @valued-customer !
I must sign up for the I-PIN Digital ID System to receive bank loans, insurance, and welfare benefits.😆
If the state finds out about the conversation I had with you, I will be subject to criminal punishment!😂
So, Many people want to move to the United States in search of freedom of speech!
Yes, and depending on those provisions is only necessary insofar as you are unable to provide such resources. That is what I said.
Then I hope they do not. This is exemplary of the criminal nature of states in particular, and of institutions generally, and why I encourage independence from them all.
Dear @valued-customer !
I agree with you!
If they find out what I talked to you about, they can ban me from going to America!
I hope your health and long life!
