"Intelligence vs Wisdom from the perspective of an old agnostic"
«Dead End»

Most people use the terms "wise" and "intelligent" interchangeably, but is this really the case? Below, I will attempt to distinguish some differences:
The intelligent person accumulates information and doesn't always know what to do with it; in other words, it's about quantity rather than quality.
The wise person doesn't accumulate information and generally makes correct decisions with little information. It's about quality rather than quantity.
The intelligent person essentially uses their mind, specifically their left brain hemisphere, for decision-making, and their method of action is trial and error, that is, the scientific method.
The wise person is essentially intuitive and uses this intuition to make decisions even without arguments or evidence; their will guides them.
The intelligent person focuses their attention on their surroundings and bases their decisions on the perceptions they receive through their senses.
The wise person doesn't seek arguments because they don't intend to convince anyone. The wise person simply knows. Often they don't even know how or why they know what they know. They only know that they know, and that is enough.
The intelligent person seeks recognition from others to inflate their ego and feel superior.
The wise person knows that their knowledge belongs to everyone and that all who work on their inner selves can access it; therefore, they don't feel superior to anyone.
The intelligent person is a sleeping being who believes they can solve everything.
The wise person knows they didn't come into this world to solve everything.
The intelligent person believes they are always right and strives to convince others.
The wise person doesn't argue, because they understand that everyone is on their own journey and should be respected in that process.
A person can be both wise and intelligent, but hardly can be intelligent and wise. In the end, we will only be what our heart and experience tell us, not what others think of us.

There are already different kind of intelligence. Many connect Intellect with Intelligence, which is laughable. Intelligence in that sense had definitely nothing to do with wisdom nor being wise. But don't listen to me, i'm just a crazy old dude. 🙃
