Busy Monday even though i would rather spend the last days of July in a different way

I have taken only a short walk today, but i found a few nice photographic themes

Cicadas begin their lives as eggs laid by female cicadas in tree branches. After about six to ten weeks, the eggs hatch into tiny nymphs, which drop to the ground and burrow underground. There, they feed on the sap from plant roots and remain hidden for several years—some species stay underground for 13 or 17 years. When they are fully developed, the nymphs emerge from the soil, climb onto trees or other surfaces, and shed their exoskeletons in a final molt, becoming winged adults ready to mate and start the cycle again.

Just had a Cicada invasion around me that lasted a few weeks, they were really cool but also a bit annoying when you went into their forest areas, they are harmless. It's amazing they can fly with such large bodies.

I live at an area with trees around and I hear them all day long, sometimes even night when it is too hot like these days! The only problem I have is that I feel like its summer and I should be on holidays, but instead I am working and doing stuff so .. the sound + reality dont go together :)
