Hay muchos niños que le cuesta permanecer sentados realizando una actividad y más cuando se trata de actividades que requieren un cierto nivel de concentración. Con mi pequeño me ha tocado trabajar mucho pues por su hiperactividad es fácil que se distraiga y no finalice de manera correcta las tareas y demás asignaciones.
There are many children who find it difficult to remain seated while doing an activity, especially when it involves activities that require a certain level of concentration. With my little one I have had to work a lot because of his hyperactivity it is easy for him to get distracted and not finish his homework and other assignments correctly.
Por ese motivo en casa seguimos dando apoyo para lograr ese nivel de concentración esperado. En este caso decidí elaborar un sencillo pero colorido juego didáctico para ayudar en este proceso de mejorar la atención, es un trabajo de hormiguitas, pero poco a poco vamos avanzando.
For this reason, at home we continue to provide support to achieve the expected level of concentration. In this case I decided to elaborate a simple but colorful didactic game to help in this process of improving attention, it is a work of little ants, but little by little we are advancing.

Un trozo de cartón, tres tubos de papel higiénico, una base alargada para encajar, pega, pinturas, pincel, tijeras y marcador negro.
A piece of cardboard, three toilet paper tubes, an elongated base to fit, glue, paints, paintbrush, scissors and black marker.
Procedimiento:

✅ Lo primero que realizaremos será un dibujo de una jirafa en el trozo de cartón. Y remarcamos con ayuda del marcador negro.
✅ The first thing we will do is draw a picture of a giraffe on the piece of cardboard. And we mark it with the help of the black marker.
✅ Luego agregaremos color pintando a la jirafa y procederemos a pintar de distintos colores las pintas de la jirafa para hacer nuestro dibujo más llamativo para los pequeños.
✅ Then we will add color by painting the giraffe and proceed to paint different colors on the giraffe to make our drawing more eye-catching for the little ones.
✅ Una vez listo el dibujo lo cortaremos en varias partes, de tal manera que quede como un armable.
✅ Once the drawing is ready, we will cut it into several parts, so that it looks like an assemblable.
✅ Finalmente cortaremos los tubos de papel higiénico por la mitad y procedemos a pegar en la parte trasera de cada pieza de la jirafa.
✅ Finally, cut the toilet paper tubes in half and glue them to the back of each piece of the giraffe.
De esta manera tendremos listo un colorido juego didáctico que nos permitirá trabajar en casa con nuestros pequeños.

La idea de este juego didáctico es que los pequeños encajen cada pieza en el orden debido haciendo uso de la base alargada, hasta formar la figura de la jirafa. De esta manera estamos trabajando la concentración, coordinación y motricidad fina.
The idea of this didactic game is that the little ones fit each piece in the right order using the elongated base, until they form the figure of the giraffe. In this way we are working on concentration, coordination and fine motor skills.
Igualmente nos permitirá pasar un rato agradable jugando con nuestros pequeños mientras estimulamos un área del aprendizaje tan importante como lo es la concentración.
It will also allow us to spend a pleasant time playing with our children while stimulating an area of learning as important as concentration.

That’s a great game you created there! It’s indeed tricky to have boys because their energy level is so high but what I’ve found is that after a few minutes if they are getting antsy, we do some light exercises together. Jumping jacks are a common one and it gets him to calm down after we do a couple sets and then take a rest and water break!
