In my quest to deliver the experience of dCity to the masses

We are now running an active roleplaying and story building narrative about citizens in dCity and how our decisions as Mayors can affect them.

In light of a recent comment I received on my latest dCity post about handling homeless citizens I am dedicating this roleplay narrative to Citizen Experiments.

Mayor discusses Experiments with Cipher the Homeless citizen

In the bustling city of dCity, Mayor @ryosai was known for his hands-on approach. He believed in understanding the needs of his citizens firsthand. One day, he decided to have a conversation with a homeless person, known as Cipher, who lived on the outskirts of the city.

"Good day, Cipher," Ryosai greeted, sitting down next to him on the worn-out park bench. "I wanted to talk to you about life in dCity. How are you finding it?"

Cipher looked at the Mayor, surprised. "Well, it's tough, Mayor. I won't lie. Every day is a struggle for survival."

"I understand," the Mayor nodded. "And I want to change that. I've been thinking about a new initiative. It involves running some experiments that could potentially provide our homeless citizens with extra resources and better care. But I want to know what you think about it."

Cipher looked thoughtful. "Experiments, you say? What kind of experiments?"

"Well," the Mayor explained, "these experiments would involve optimizing our citizens for better utility. It could mean better health care, access to education, job opportunities, and more. However, there's a catch. These experiments might leave those who participate as sick citizens."

Cipher was silent for a moment. "Sick citizens? That's a heavy price to pay, Mayor."

Mayor Ryosai nodded. "I understand your concern, Cipher. It's a difficult decision. But the goal is to eventually improve the quality of life for everyone in dCity. Your dignity and freedom will always be respected."

Cipher looked at the Mayor for a long moment. "It's a tough choice, Mayor. But if it means a chance at a better life, maybe it's a risk worth taking."
