Three Places of Comfort and Solace

Hello friends. Nameste to everyone in the @indiaunited community. Comfort is a feeling of emotional relief and mental freedom, finding peace, and a type of calmness that just can't be found anywhere but in special places where we are emotionally attached to. A place of comfort can be our safe haven, where we feel safe to face the troubles that beseech us daily, where we can unwind and breathe with a sign of relief without distractions. A place where we can find calmness to think and reason on solutions to our problems and for different people it's different things or places or even people that they derive this comfort from.

As for me, what is my comfort place?
When I feel down, troubled, or distressed, I like to keep to myself and remain indoors. My room is my first safe place where I find comfort. I make it as comfortable as possible so I would be able to relax, reflect, and find the comfort I desire without the need to step out of my door. There are times that I stayed indoors for almost a week, and my neighbors thought I had traveled. Another person asked me what I have in my house that keeps me indoors always, and the funny thing is that I hadly turn on my television. I feel that every house should have that comfy corner where one can have quietness and peace without distractions.

Another comfort place for me would be the beach and the pool. The calmness one gets from just looking at the sea from the beachfront can not be overemphasized. There's the feeling of peace I always get when I go to the beach. I feel like with every wave of the beach, my troubles wash off with the wave. My mind resets, and I begin to reason better and appreciate the beauty of nature around me. I always feel better after a visit to the beach.

And swimming, ooh, I love it. The calmness always gets to my brain and makes me feel like I should be in the pool all day, especially in sunny weather. Swimming can be really comforting as it calms my nerves and helps me relax well so I can think better about the solutions to my problems.

I know I mentioned three comfort places, but I just want to add an additional one, which is also important to me. That is my religious meeting place. It's also another comforting place where I've always gone in with a heavy heart but left feeling light-hearted and happy after listening to the encouraging talks from the speaker. Sometimes, I feel a particular talk was directed to me because it touches on the predicament I'm going through at a particular time. My Christian association and kingdom halls have been a place of comfort that I cherish dearly.
