My Peace Perfect Year

If I'm to summarize the year 2025 into one word, it will be PEACE for me, you know that common saying that when you have peace, you have everything. 2025 started just like every other year, I wanted to make the best of the year, pursue my goals and dreams, and of course just like every other year, it came with it's own challenges, it amazes me how this year which came with more financial, emotional, and physical challenges than I have had my whole life happened to be the year where I experience not just an ordinary peace, but a perfect peace, just like the bible says, that " he will keep us in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on him" Funny enough, this was my 2024 mantra, but i didn't get to experience that peace until this year.

This can be attributed to discovering my inner self, discipline in doing my best, waking up each day with a goal to accomplish in mind, taking the needed break when my body needs it, and also not worrying too much over what I have no control over. By following these simple practices, peace found me.

Imagine having to start the year with financial pressure on every side, especially when it had to do with accomodations issue, a very vital human need, this was not what I planned for the year, nut unexpected circumstances are bound to happen, but do we just wallow in frustration or find a solution, yea, it was tight, stressful even, trying to solve this sudden problem, thankfully, it got settled, that very situation made me realize that, no matter how difficult a situation might seem, learning to stay calm, rather than worry, helps us think better and clearer to come up with a solution.

That very experience early into the year served as a lesson on how I should navigate other challenges that might come.

Emotionally, I won't even lie and say all was well entering into the year 2025, trust me, it was draining, but thankfully, it is a different story today, my emotional life also encountered peace, sometimes all we need might not actually be what we are focused on, it might just be a simple peace that spread out to every other part of your life.

As the year comes to an end in a few days, I find myself feeling grateful each day for how what was supposed to be my challenges reshaped my perspective. The peace I now carry isn’t a fleeting one, but perfect. In all, I’ve learned to prioritize self-care, I'm not getting younger, I need all the love I can give myself, and I shouldn't always have to be in competition to weigh myself down.

And most importantly, I celebrate my small victories, knowing that, together, they are huge
Looking ahead to 2026, I carry this perfect peace forward, ready to face new challenges with a centered mind and an open heart. And I pray you all find that same peace in the year to come.
