My Dream Weekend.
Good day everyone, welcome to my blog.
Weekends are the days that end an old week and the beginning of a new week. Usually, people use the weekend to clean, wash, attend parties or rest while some use it to prepare for another week.
Usually around the world weekends are usually between two to three days. In our part of the world, weekends begin on Friday and end on Sundays. I believe that is why most offices close on time on Friday. They call it half day in some places.
If I have my way, I will make my own weekend last for three full days. Yes, I would make the weekend last from Saturday to Monday. During these four days, I would go on a getaway. I would use the first day of the weekend to prepare for a short trip. In preparation, I would clean my house and stock my fridge and freezer with food that will sustain us for another week.
By the dawn of the second day which would be Saturday, I would park my bag and go visit a resort nearby. I would stay and enjoy all the facilities at the resort for two days before returning home on the night of the second day.
I would use the next day which would be Monday to rest from the travel stress and get ready for another week. It is on this day that I would prepare soup for the week and draft the outline of my work for the week too.
As it is now, weekends are only two days so what I would like to do with my weekend is to have unlimited data so I can watch good films on Netflix, see different reels and TikTok videos eat good home made food prepared by God knows who then use the second day which is Sunday to prepare for the new week ahead.
Unfortunately, I am a mother and a wife so I usually have a lot on my plate for weekends. By a lot I mean cleaning, shopping, cooking, teaching (assignments), judging, settling misunderstandings for the children and a lot more. Despite having to do all this during the weekend, I make sure to find time to rest so I don't break down.
